
Scout–Guide, Cub–Bulbul Camp at Bethany English Medium School, Panglai, Puttur

The Annual Scout–Guide, Cub–Bulbul camp for the academic year 2025–26 was successfully organized on February 13 and 14 2026 at Bethany English Medium School, Panglai,Darbe, Puttur.
The camp initiated with the flag-hoisting ceremony, followed by the motivating message & benevolent wishes by the Chief Guest Mr Manoj. Member of PTA Executive Committee. This camp was high fostered and supported by Rover Leader Mr Chandraksha, ALT Guide Mrs Mabel D’Souza, Principal Sr Anitha and the camp participants.
The twilight gathering was inaugurated with a grand campfire programme orchestrated by Mr Balakrishna Rai as the master of ceremony. The guests Sr Shubha BS, the superior of Bethany Convent, Bendur, Mangaluru, Correspondent Sr Prashanthi BS, The Principal Sr Anitha Tressy, State Organizing Commissioner of Bharat Scouts and Guides, Dakshina Kannada Mr Bharath Raj K., Local Unit Secretary Mrs Vidhya Gowri, CRP Mrs Shashikala, PTA Vice-President Mr Raghunatha Rai, and PTA members were escorted to the venue with the school band. The attendees delivered edifying messages, accentuating the imperatives of discipline, leadership, service and co-operation. Later, a cultural programme featuring dance, skits and pyramid formations captivated the audience with their performance. The night event culminated in a community dinner.
The second day camp commenced with B. P. Six exercises, all faith prayer and flag-hoisting, workshops on first aid and gadget making for the camp participants. They also indulged themselves in recreational games, drawing and craft activities. Later Scout & Guide students along with the Principal, Correspondent, Scout Masters, Guide Captains and Rover Leader visited Prajna Ashram for intellectually challenged persons at Beeramale, Puttur. The cultural performances by the students brought new enthusiasm to the residents of the ashram.
Through this camp, the objectives of developing discipline, self-reliance, cleanliness, and social responsibility among students were successfully achieved. Teachers, Scout–Guide leaders, parents, and students actively participated in the camp. Certificates were distributed to all participants, and the camp concluded successfully with the flag-lowering ceremony.
